bX-cxyu7t and bX-y4ne02 error codes: Cannot upload or edit template

Many bloggers have complained of not being able to change to a new Blogger template or save an edited template. The error code they get is bX-cxyu7t. This has happened before and there is nothing to do but sit it out. I myself have tried and got he same error code
bX-cxyu7t
Another is
bX-y4ne02

Hopefully you have sufficient patience.

Update 14 June 2008: Changing to a different browser is my favorite strategy when I have similar problems, but this time somehow I left it out. As you can see from the comments, one blogger managed to solve the problem by using a different browser.

  3. Hi Krystyna,

Check your template. Either from Menu bar
    View > Page Source

    or in Dashboard, go to
    Layout > Edit HTML

    the last line should be
    /html

If this is not your last line, template is corrupt - truncated. Has happened to me before

  4. Thank you very much, Peter!
    I really apreciate it.
    I didn't know that.

Actually I cleared my blog with videos/this day when I had "error on page" I noticed that on YouTube site was error too/
When I deleted video from my blog...error went away too.
Now YouTube is without error and my blog with video is ok too.
I'm not sure if my error was cause of YouTube video, my others blog those days were without errors/with YouTube video too/

Your inform is very needful! Thank you again!
    Best wishes!

  5. I have this error code

    bX-ui5l62

I was attempting to add a blog address to my blog roll when it all stopped and now no-one can read my blog.

I've set up a temporary one for the moment.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Will it just come right?

  6. Hi Sandie,

Apparently, error codes can't be used to figure out what is wrong. If after a few days, your blog is still inaccessible, suggest you backup current template and change new template. Make sure you also backup Page Elements before you make any changes.

  7. Thank you Peter for your kind reply. I have been able to back up the template but cannot access the layout to back up the page elements.

If, after a few days, I cannot view the blog, how can I export my posts from the old blog to the new- is this possible?

    Many thanks once more.

  8. Hi Sandie,

I normally just export the posts. To do this, edit the post one by one in the EDIT HTML mode, copy-paste into new post.

Blogger has a page on exporting. Refer to backup entire blog and import and export blog. I myself haven't tried this. If you do, please let me know how it went.

  9. All I had to do was clean out my cache, close the browser, reopen the browser, and try again.

  10. Clearing cache and cookies will generally have the same effect as using a different browser. However, since I have many browsers in my computer, my choice is always to use another browser as clearing cache and cookies means for many things like logging in you will have to start all over again.

  11. I solved my problem by choosing a new template (which was the old one) and changing the fonts and colors to what they were. Then I increased the outer wrapper and main wrapper... Didn't work! So I did something wacky. There were two identical HTML1 widgets so I just made it HTML15 and presto! The page looks as I want. No more cut-off photos posted from flickr!
