"Rounders 3" 3 column template by Amanda Fazani
I love the Rounders 3 template by Douglas Bowman because it is beautiful, green and I think a perfect fit for an environmental blog. However the standard Blogger Rounders 4 template is only 2 column when I prefer 3 column and 4 column. I was thus very happy when Amanda of BloggerBuster converted the standard 2 column to the Rounders 3, 3 column template. I thus used her template for the Environmentally Friendly Presents. Not only has Amanda converted it to 3 column, she also included a very handy Labels cloud. Do have a look at Labels cloud in the right sidebar of Environmentally Friendly Presents, you will fall in love with it I am sure.

I like the three column format better too, but I would like to have only one side bar box on each side instead of two. Do you know what I would need to do to eliminate one sidebar box on each side?
ReplyDeleteLove you blog!
If you mean the white box below the green box and you want the white box to be not displayed, just go to LAYOUT and delete all gadgets (page elements). However, this will leave an empty white box and if you also want to remove that, will have to go into the template editor and delete those sections. No time to try yet, perhaps later.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's the empty white boxes that I want to remove... I just can't seem to find the right parts to delete. What *seems* like the right section to delete leaves me with a really weird looking layout :) I'll just keep trying - I'm sure to hit the right spots eventually :P
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reply!
Peter...love the signature at the bottom of the blog. I was actually searching the web to find out how to do that and came upon your blog. Can you please advise of how I do this for my page? I wannt to ad a signature at the end of my posts but I am not sure how to do that. And yes..I am new to bloging and have no HTML experience.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Refer to signature generator and graphic signature
ReplyDeletehello again. :)
ReplyDeleteive wanted to change to a 3 or 4 column layout since ages. but the manual way never really workd right with me.
I can use a ready made rounders template but that will knock off the gadgets. And backing up the gadgets -- in my trial runs -- have been far from successful.
I put so much effort into those gadgets... :( i read your gadget back up article too... some cannot be saved.
Which is why I have been trying to go the manual way...and still bumping my head each time.

Peter, hi!
ReplyDeleteQuick question: I'm using a MINIMA DARK template for my blog. Is it possible to change the standard two column format into a THREE COLUMN format?
(The black background goes well with the blog, but a lot of space at the sides is regretfully wasted.)
Thanks Peter, for sharing your knowledge with us!
-Jouke
p.s. I put your link-banner on my blog, with the cursor-text in Dutch.
Goede dag Jl

Regarding 3 column Minima dark, why don't you use the 4 column Minima Dark instead. Only thing is, remember to backup page elements (now called gadgets) so you can put it back later. And also backup template
How does one change the overall background color of one of the rounders templates i.e., not the colors of each of the rounded elements, but the color behind all of that? I love the rounders templates but want some more flexibility with my colors.
ReplyDeleteHi Peter, followed your advice to upload revised corners after changing column widths, but no corners appear now. code looks correct to me, any chance of help?
ReplyDeletecheers, Jack

I don't do template design. For that you would have to refer to bloggers like Amanda.
ReplyDeletePeter Hi,
ReplyDeleteI am newbies to blogger and I want to ask you a stupid question:
How do I create a few sub categories on the top in my blogger. For example: Home, Products, Contact Us, Archive, etc. etc...
I hope you know what I mean and please help. thank you
Victory! Got my new wider 3 column Rounded template perfect.
ReplyDeleteHave a look;
http://banyandah.blogspot.com/
Briefly I widened the columns in the template then expanded only the width of the corner images to the new width in photoshop, saved them then pasted each in a new blog page, and finally copying their url location and putting this in my template. Presto! A new look... Capt'n Jack
I like the three column format best too, its just a nicer look especially for a blog. I used 3 column layouts on ecommerce sites I designed mostly also.
ReplyDeleteSame with the Editor...
ReplyDeleteIlike three column layouts to.. Not to much. because if too many columns would create confusion
This article is so important. It was a big help for me. thank you very very much..!!!
