First baby step to increase followers on Twitter

After publishing Peter @ Enviroman at Twitter I received a comment asking how Twitter can help increase traffic to a blog. My answer was that one of the step we can take is to Tweet each time we publish a new post.

Well, you can tweet all you want, but if you have no followers at Twitter, it is not going to help much. So one must try to get more followers at Twitter. Writing that post Peter @ Enviroman at Twitter is a first step. That did help because after publishing that post, I had added a few more followers at Twitter. Another one will be to put a link to Enviroman's Twitter Profile which I should have done lone ago because of laziness, not done, but which I am going to do immediately after I hit the PUBLISH button. Will follow up with others latter.

  1. I should say this. But just after reaching this post from my blogger dashboard, i'm afraid i was completely confused. I didn't understand what you were talking. I didn't understand the grammar of your language.

May be because I'm already on twitter.

  2. I am afraid I don't understand your problem. Maybe if you describe it in greater details, I can help

  3. Sometimes people who are confused say something to us that just confuses us. Sometimes it's best to recall that most problems are inconsequential--if they are in fact Very Serious, someone who repeat them more loudly and more succinctly.

I don't think I've remembered to be one of your followers yet, but I'm still puzzled by Twitter, so give me a couple of days!!!

  5. You know you've only done 3 tweets, most wont follow you if you haven't done very many, great post yes and I will be tweeting it but do some more tweets ...more tweets increase your twitter traffic and therefore increase your blog traffic

  6. You are perfectly correct. I have to get off my butt if I am serious on trying to increase traffic/followers. Must overcome this lazy streak

  7. You, lazy?! Peter, that's hilarious!!!

My Twittering doesn't seem like it's inspiring too much attention, but I always did prefer Instant Gratification and, when bored, I fall asleep quickly!

  8. Ha when I first started on this blogging business, I was online from the time I wake up till the time I go to bed with a very substantial portion of online time devoted to blogging. Now I am still online a substantial portion of my awake time but a huge chunk of it devoted to reading online news (political developments in my country) and very little to publishing posts. Now aren't I lazy from the blogging point of view?
