How to set comment option for individual post

"Is there a way to not have comments for a post in the body of the blog or post? I would like to have a "comment" page that readers can go to and comment there, but not on the post itself."

You can easily set any individual post to either allow or don't allow comments. You will have to first go to Dashboard, click SETTINGS > COMMENTS and set the blog to show comments:
Comments (.) Show ( ) Hide

All you need to do now when publishing a post is to click POST OPTION at the bottom left corner of the post editor and select one of the 3 options:
( ) Allow
( ) Don't allow, show existing
( ) Don't allow, hide existing

  1. Dear Peter,

In the last days we receive false indications for too long comments, even for comments not exceeding the number of 800 characters! In most of the cases the posting is completed successfully. Nevertheless, how can we rid of the problem?

    Thank you in advance

  9. Pehaps you may try remove nofollow attribute for comments but unless something has changed, it don't appear effective as viewing page source revealed the presence of the nofollow attribute still.

  10. Hello,

Is there a way to hide comment on some post that already been published without having to change it individually. There is some post that i want to disable the comments. Blogger only have comment option for all and individual post but not for some post.

    Thank's.

  11. What do you mean? " for all and individual post but not for some post"

You said for all post and then not for some post? Don't that all include some?

  12. let say, i have about 200 post that already been published and i want to hide comment for 50 post only. Now, how can i hide the comment for that 50 post without doing it one by one on each post?

    Thx for reply..

  14. For some reason comments are not posting to my email. My settings read for comments to be moderated through my email address.

    Help?

  15. That too has happened to me before except I am not 100% sure whether it is because those email notifications for comment moderation ended up in the spam folder or because of some glitch on Blogger's side as I have found some of those emails do end up in the spam folder but because I also have more than a hundred as yet unmoderated comments in the Dashboard waiting for me to check. But I would suggest that you check both your spam folder plus check those waiting in the Dashboard if you don't have the same numbers of unmoderated comments as I do and thus more manageable.
