<del>wrong spelling</del> <ins>right spelling</ins>
You can study the codes, understand it and then do it yourself, or if you are lazy, just copy-paste into your post editor and just replace the "wrong spelling"..... with what you want.
Now the above may not be what you want. Perhaps you want
Look the the HTML I used for the above below (this can be mighty confusing, above and below. You go figure what I mean by that):
<strike>this is not what I want</strike>

Hey, that is so cool! Thank you very much. I have wanted to learn how do that (crossed-out text) and only learned it today thru your blog. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the easy instruction! I was searching all over Blogger to find out if I could strike through text.
ReplyDeleteThanks again!
Thanks for the help
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteI googled 'crossed out text in email' and saw this blog. I'm trying to find out what happened to an email I saved as a draft. I was replying to an email sent by a friend of a series of email correspondences between him and someone else. When I opened it again there was crossed out text starting in the 3rd paragraph down of my reply and continuing through all text and emails below it. What caused this? Is it something I did? Is there a way to remove it? It seems this blog is referring to html. I'm just composing an email (yahoo) not working with code (as far as I know). I would like to send on my reply without the crossed out text. Anybody got any answers? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ReplyDeletecan we change strike tag crossed-out line color to red ?
ReplyDeleteYes, you can change the color to red, but the text will also become red. Refer to testing strike out color
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the simple explanation. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info on strike-thru formatting.
ReplyDeleteThanks I had been looking for this info. Very simple thanks again.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Had been looking to learn how to do it.
ReplyDeleteis there a way of doing it so there is no underline for the corrected words?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
If you only want the wrongly spelled words cancelled, then just surround <strike;wrongly spelled word> with < and >
ReplyDeleteIf you only want the wrongly spelled words cancelled, then just use the second option.
ReplyDeletebrilliant.
ReplyDeletethanks.
Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI understand doing these things in the post area, but what I need is the capability of putting strike through text in the title. I'd like to leave a post online after it has "expired" but I'd like to alter the text with a strike through. I've done it in the past but can not remember how or else the tool to do so has been removed.
ReplyDeleteHelp? Please.
Previous tests have shown that we can put HTML tags in the post title and I just recently tested that at testing strike out in post title and have reconfirmed that it still works. Would suggest you use <del> and the other 2 had been deprecated.
